Rediscovering, rather, Siamese Dream (Smashing Pumpkins) in headphones. Loudly. Right now.
Amazing work, this album is.

Thanks to all who entered the drawing for free Shudder to Think tickets.
Our winner is Eric Abert (New York, NY)!
Coincidentally, Mr. Abert is also an old bandmate of mine (Glory for Champions, circa 2000), so it is my great pleasure to award him the tickets to this sure-to-be-amazing show in historic, legendary New York City.
Eric’s story is brief and, admittedly, a bit of a stretch on the assigned contest question, but since it actually involves Shudder we allowed it. Please read on…
“So, one time we were playing in Pittsburgh [Eric plays bass and Moog in the band The Life and Times. ~M.A.H.], and the president of the Shudder to Think fan club puts us up–and he has the drum kit that Pony Express Record was recorded on. Then, at 6 a.m. he woke us up to move the van so that his wife could take the kids to school, but he had donuts and coffee ready. And a really crazy crucifix collection.”
Congrats to Eric and his guest! And thanks again to all for playing and for helping to spread the word about the contest.
If the band is reading this: HAVE A GREAT SET! I hate to miss this show, but I’m glad someone will be able to use the tickets and experience it.

One of Eric's tickets to Shudder
Maybe I’ll have Eric wear a top-hat and sneak my huge BETA-cam into the show, Aerosmith-style!
